How to Transfer Your Blogger Site to Wordpress

Blogger is a nice and fast tool to quick start posting. but, few experts realize that they need to full control on their blog. So they want to migrate from blogger to wordpress or joomla. In this Tutorial, We will guide you how can you migrate from blogger to wordpress (without losing rankings in google or other search engines).

First of all, you have to get the hosting for your wordpress. Once you have bought the hosting, then sign up your wordpress.

Import Your Blogger Site into WordPress

Go to tool => Import and click on blogger.

Click on install button and then on Activate plugin and run importer link to continue.

On the next Screen, You will be redirected to authorization page. just click Allow access to continue.

You will now be redirected to that page, where you will see your blogger posts. All you need to just click on the import button which you want to import.

Once the process completed, You will be asked to assign an author so just assign your existing author.

Setting up Permalinks

As you migrated from blogger, So you should now go to Settings => Permalinks and choose Month and Name.

Setting up Redirection

The most important part is to redirect your visitors to the new platform. To do this, you need to set redirection in two levels. At first user will redirect to your blogger from wordpress site. Secondly, it should redirect to that post or page which user demands.

Go to your blogger account, Click on template. Go to the bottom of the page and click on Revert to Classic Template.
